Iranian Neurologist Wins Germany’s Leibniz Ring Prize

Prof. Majid Samii has won the prestigious Leibniz Ring Prize for his humane contributions in the Project Africa 100.
IBNA: The Iranian figure has won the prize for educating freely 100 African neurologists to give the incentives to stay in their homelands and help their nationals.
Professor Samii is also the writer of 17 reference works in his field of study and practice.
The Ring was given to Samii by Gerhard Schroder, former German Chancellor, in the presence of a number of prominent neurologists from around the globe.
This is the first time that the prize is being given to an Iranian scientists in the history of the award.
The prize is given to Personalities who have made contributions to human development. The Ring is named after Gottfried Liebniz born in the 17th century (1646), considered to be the last German Polyhistor.
