Rakeen – an
Arabic word that means ‘central pillar’ or ‘trustworthy
support’ – commenced operations on 19th April 2006, in a
royal decree by His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al
Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah,
as the land master-planner and developer to be
responsible for RAK’s property development.
Rakeen a
significant number of ambitious developments underway
for Ras Al Khaimah – from man-made islands to offshore
financial districts and from spa resorts to new urban
developments – to facilitate the emirate’s transition to
an international commercial capital and cultural
landmark.
Rakeen has
a diversified international development portfolio and
has been investing robustly in emerging markets around
the region.

Projects
Isfahan - Mixed Use Complex
The project which
will be completed in 2010 entails the creation of a landmark
development in Isfahan, Iran.
Having a land of over 103,672m2 and situated near the business area, it
will be built
in two phases. The initial phase includes a shopping
mall with a total area of 144,235m2. The mall
will consist retail shops,
restaurants/cafés, hypermarket, food court, an Imax
cinema and an amusement park.
Additionally, a 25-storey 7-star luxury hotel with an
area of 51,275 m2 will be located over the
mall, which will incorporate restaurants and sport
facilities for the 500 rooms. The complex will also
include an office tower, a 3-star hotel and an
exhibition centre.
The project is unique and aimed at giving the people of
Isfahan an environment that will become a premier
destination for work, shopping and entertainment . |
